Prof. You Yang obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2004. He completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry at USTC in collaboration with the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC) under the supervision of Prof. Biao Yu in 2010. Following a four-year postdoctoral research with Prof. Peter H. Seeberger at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the East China University of Science and Technology in 2014 and promoted to a Full Professor in 2015. Prof. Yang’s research interests encompass carbohydrate chemistry and the development of carbohydrate-based drugs and vaccines. His contributions have been recognized through the publication of over 60 research papers in prestigious international journals such as ACS Cent. Sci., J. Am. Chem. Soc., and Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. with more than 3000 citations. Prof. Yang was selected as the recipient of the National Thousand Young Talents, the Shanghai Pujiang Talents, and the Taishan Industrial Experts.
