Constant Change

Fall is upon us (even though it is July and hot and humid as I write this!) We are looking forward to APTA Pediatrics Annual Conference this month in Omaha, NE along with the many activities and “rights of fall”.

There have been changes to our editorial team. We all want to thank Dr. Suh-Fang Jeng, Associate Editor, for her excellent contributions to our editorial process. Dr. Jeng is stepping down from her position on the journal as she has accepted the position as Vice President of World Physiotherapy. We congratulate Dr. Jeng and look forward to her future accomplishments. Dr. Jeng has been a reviewer, author, and Associate Editor for Pediatric Physical Therapy. She has provided excellent insight and guidance as the journal has matured. I will personally miss her as will our editorial team. But I look forward to her continuing contributions as reviewer and author to the journal.

We welcome Dr. Yen-Tzu Wu, Associate Professor of School and Graduate Institute of Physical Therapy, National Taiwan University as a member of our editorial board. We look forward to working with her as we grow the journal.

Our journal growth has new evidence with our recent 1 year 1.6 Impact Factor and 1.8 5 year Impact Factor. We are steadily improving in this one metric of our journal. One important feature of the Impact Factor is the number of times articles from the journal are cited in research. Please continue to cite the work of our excellent authors.

We have a new feature that will appear in all our articles. “What This Adds to the Evidence” summarizes the current evidence on a topic, the gap in the evidence and the article's evidence to fill this gap. The final section will summarize previous and current evidence for clinical and research application. This feature will begin appearing in this issue and will be in all of the articles from 2024 forward. Look for it in green highlight following the abstracts.
