Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease that can affect multiple organ systems. Musculoskeletal inflammation is among the most common features of SLE and can significantly impact patients' overall well-being and quality of life. This review aims to provide an overview of the impact, classification, assessment, and treatment of inflammatory musculoskeletal manifestations in SLE. Understanding these aspects is crucial for both the initial diagnosis and long-term management of SLE, as well as for the development of new therapeutics.
