Myasthenia gravis in women

Transient neonatal MG is caused by the transplacental transfer of IgG antibodies from the mother to the fetus, starting in week 13; by week 32, the fetus has 50 % of the mother’s concentration, reaching 100 % by delivery. Rates of transient neonatal MG rates are often quoted as being around 10 %, but the figures vary widely (Alharbi et al., 2021, Batocchi et al., 1999, Braga et al., 2016, Breiner et al., 2022, Djelmis et al., 2002, Ducci et al., 2017, Hoff et al., 2003, Tanacan et al., 2019).
