Ethical approval

Institutional Ethics Committee review board at Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital requires approval only for original research and case reports involving trial or experimental interventions (procedures/drugs) administered to patients. This patient was not treated with trial or experimental therapies but received only the approved form of treatment for the condition. All treatment and examinations followed the guidance of the Declaration of Helsinki.

As the patient is deceased, written informed consent was obtained from the patient's husband and two sons, who were closest to the patient, for the publication of this image.
